The Birregurra Art Show has a long and distinguished history, attracting hundreds of entries from artists throughout Victoria.
With a total prize pool of $9000, there are various prizes, including the Main Prize of $2,000 that is awarded to the artwork judged Best in Show across all categories. Entries are open in eight (8) categories, with first and second prizes awarded at $500 and $250 respectively, in each category. In addition, there is a special prize for the Best Artwork By a Local Artist, Best Artwork by a Young Artist as well as the People’s Choice Prize, decided by popular vote.
“Birregurra’s art show is a celebration of imagination in all its forms and judging it felt like walking through a living conversation between artists and the world around them. The diversity of techniques, perspectives, and emotions on display speaks to the strength of regional creativity, and it’s an honour to help acknowledge and elevate that work.”
