Helga Lewis is an award-winning artist recognised for her deep connection to the natural beauty of Lorne and its surrounding landscapes. Her artistic achievements include receiving Highly Commended for an oil painting at the Anglesea Art Show in 2023, as well as winning First Prize in oil painting at the Birregurra Art Show in 2025.
Helga has been painting for more than eleven years, during which time she has cultivated a passion for the expressive potential of colour and light.
She delights in the craft of colour mixing, often drawing inspiration from the coastal scenery, atmosphere, and ever-changing light of Lorne.
Her work reflects both technical skill and an emotional bond with the environment she calls home.
The founding member of the Lorne Art Group, Helga meets with fellow artists every second Thursday to create, learn, and share artistic experiences. Painting has become an important and joyful part of her life—an avenue for expression, connection, and personal fulfilment.
