Surfcoast family man and printmaker Matthew Solly is inspired by the surfing lifestyle and the local beaches.
An accomplished water colourist, Matt's passion is linocut printmaking in big format.
He is able to transform a local beach break, or the simple daily activity on the coast into beautiful works of art.
His work “Flow” is a lino print with a simple approach of movement catching a wave. Printed on a light brown linen 32 gsm Japanese paper with other layers of Japanese paper which is glued down with rice glue and pushed together as it is printed.
