About the Show
The Birregurra Art Show was started in 1992 as a fundraising initiative by the local Birregurra Primary School parents (and the encouragement of the Art Teacher). The children’s art and ceramics were exhibited along with the work of artists from around the region and the show became an annual social feature for the school community.
It has evolved over the years to become an integral part of the local community calendar, HELD IN SPRING AT The beautifully renovated Birregurra HALL where we invite you to celebrate art, music, food and community.
“Our aim is to contribute to our community’s appreciation of art and celebration of creativity, to provide a platform for all artists to exhibit works, showcasing diverse and stimulating art forms with a regional emphasis, and to reinvest in the community to encourage engagement in the arts.”
The Art Show is a great opportunity for all artists, both new and established, to exhibit their artwork in a number of categories. Thanks to our generous sponsors, first and second prizes are awarded in each category, as well as the Birregurra Art Show Major Prize for Best in Show and a People’s Choice Prize.
Attracting hundreds of entries annually, the Art Show also offers a wonderful opportunity to view and purchase regional and local art, especially during the Opening Night Gala.

The Birregurra Art Show is coordinated by a committee of volunteers and supported by many more locals who work tirelessly each year to bring the show to life.
