How Art Show proceeds support Birregurra Community Arts Group workshops

Cinnamon Stephen’s Workshop held at the historic Birregurra Railway Station

Using a grant of $1000 from the proceeds of the 2024 Birregurra Art Show, the members of the Birregurra Community Arts Group (BCAG) enjoyed the opportunity to participate in three different workshops during the first half of 2025.

Linnet Hunter (Wildsky), our local writer and coach for creatives, provided one-on-one sessions on ‘Craft an Artist Statement’ for three different artists during February.

Cinnamon Stephens shared her insights in a workshop titled ‘Create Space to Create‘ in the beautiful setting of our historic Railway Station.

David Lancashire, one of Australia's most renowned and respected graphic designers and a local artist himself, inspired with his Collage workshops. Due to high demand, two workshops were held on 5th and 6th of April, organised by Lindy Fullarton. Some of the grant funds subsidised workshop participation for BCAG members.

Pam Fyfe thanked the Art Show for their contribution on behalf of BCAG: “All of these workshops were very successful and would not have been possible without the grant money from the Birregurra Art Show.”
